My Story

Hi, I’m Laura. Mummy to my 2 wonderful little girl’s aged 4 and 9 and a sleep consultant.

I worked for many years in London as a professional, qualified Nanny for children of all ages and prior to that I studied a BA in Early Childhood Studies at University.

Sleep is so vital for us to function in this crazy, ever changing world and the day my first daughter was born I knew I was probably entering into a minefield of sleep deprivation and surviving on caffeine! I read all the books and scoured the internet at all times of day (and night!) for solutions, whilst going through many of the same struggles that every new parent does. Eventually we muddled our way through! It left me wondering does it really need to be this way?

During those first 3 years, whilst we had success that journey wasn’t always an easy road. With many sleep challenges relating to her developmental stages, it led me to the decision that I wanted to learn exactly what to do so I wasn’t unsure anymore.

I knew I wanted to help other people overcome these struggles too so I made the decision to train as an infant sleep specialist, with the amazing Lucy Shrimpton- founder of the Sleep Nanny Academy and best selling Author of the Sleep Nanny System. Working with Lucy was the best decision I could’ve made and I haven’t looked back.

I am passionate about children’s sleep and changing families lives, as a result of everyone getting the amount of sleep they need and deserve. My job is to provide you with the skills and support you need to make these changes for yourself and implement them into your daily routine.
